National Muslim Soup Kitchen Day at RISSE

"The Muslim Soup Kitchen Project (MSKP), will host the second National Muslim Soup Kitchen Day, Saturday, April 29, in partnership with a number of other faith communities in the Capital Region. Free meals will be served at five community meal sites, and meals will be delivered to 10 additional sites. The purpose of the National Muslim Soup Kitchen Day is to involve the whole of the community – Muslim and non-Muslim, old and young – working together to provide good food and loving fellowship to people in our communities."

Interfaith Solidarity March for Immigrants & Refugees

Join Faith Communities on Madison Avenue to show your solidarity, care and support for the Immigrants and Refugees in our neighborhood, our City and the wider Capital District.
The March begins promptly at 4:30pm at The Friends Meeting of Albany and ends at the RISSE, Refugee & Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus, 240 West Lawrence.

Join us at this special event where you can hear directly from some of those who are currently undergoing the transition to a new country and way of life. Paintings done by individuals participating in RISSE programs will be on display with some of the artists present to tell the stories of their journey to the United States and their hopes for the future of their children.
